SUMMARY

The ERSEA Manager is responsible for operations in Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance. Under the direct supervision of the Head Start/EHS Directors, the ERSEA Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and supervising a high quality program in the Agency's service area, and assuring compliance with Performance as they relate to the social service, eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance components. The ERSEA Manager must be knowledgeable about the availability of Head Start/EHS eligible children and the policies and procedures of all programs as well as have a working knowledge of informational technology systems with an interest in technological innovations.

  1. General Qualifications:

  • Must have a working telephone or cell phone.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with immediate access to a legally insured vehicle.
  • Must be able to drive an automobile, full size pickup, and a van.
  • Must at least have auto liability insurance and must keep it current.
  • Must consent to and pass an initial health examination.
  • Must maintain a current TB Screening.
  • Must consent to and pass state felony, Central Registry Check, and/or FBI background check when applicable.
  • Must consent to and pass agency drug testing.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Accounting, Social Services or a related field or a high school diploma and equivalent in job training and experience. Experience in business information systems/computer related field and one to three years prior job related experience and ERSEA Credential preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to parents and employees of the agency.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an excelled knowledge of a personal computer, Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, the Internet and email software.  In addition an individual should be able to operate various office machines.
